It is with sadness for myself that I post the passing of a dear friend and confidant but with a glad heart I celebrate her life and the joy she brought to mine.

 Keyara was the first champion from the first litter I bred.  Slow to mature, her daughter Kioki (CH CraKara’s Sumiro C-My BB Bleus) finished her championship before her, but like a fine wine, Keya just got better with time.  Keyara was awarded several BOB wins including a supported entry of 97 Siberians under Carol Nash, all from the veteran class.  In 1990 at the SHCA National in Florida, she and her brother Bogie (CH Karamad's Key Largo) represented their sire, CH NeeChee’s Snowfire Darkshadow,  in the Stud Dog class and piloted him to first place.  Nine years later in 1999 at the SHCA National in Oregon, Keya was there again along with her half sister Raisa (CH Osito's Raisa of NeeChee) where Shadow was awarded second in Stud Dog with all three of them also placing in their veteran classes.  This was Keya's last big show and she went out with a bang.  She is pictured above being awarded Best in Veterans Sweeps.  She was like an American Express card, you did not leave home without Keyara.  She attended Nationals with me in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, in the classes, 1997 as a special and 1999, in veterans.

Aside from the show ring, Keyara was my constant companion and we shared 15+ wonderful years together.  She seemed to always be there for me.  There will never be another.  I could say I hoped she had made it to 16, but in reality I wish she were here forever.
